The public beta of Amazon Games’ upcoming MMORPG New World began yesterday and has seen a wave of players influx. Statistics websites SteamDB and SteamCharts both record that New World has seen over 140,000 concurrent players heading to the mysterious land Aeternum, and it is not the weekend. New World’s open beta was launched last week and lasted until September 12th, so we only had an early interest in the upcoming PC games before the weekend, and we are likely to see more players keen to dive in. However, according to the data from these websites, we have seen the peak number of players on the Valve platform so far is about 1.415 million.
