Monsoon Diet Plan: Best food for Rainy season

During Monsoon season people may suffer from various infections or may fall ill, mostly people suffers from the symptoms like cold, cough, fever stomach infections or various water borne illness so it is important to follow a healthy pattern. Diet plays a vital role in influencing the overall health. It is important to consume some foods during monsoon season to boost up the immunity. - Healthy Immunity Meal Plan

Diet Plan

    Early morning- Any Herbal drink (Ginger lemon water, cinnamon water, cucumber mint water, haldi water, etc)


    Breakfast- Any fresh fruit smoothie and small bowl of vegetable oats

 
    Mid morning- Coconut water 


    Lunch- Vegetable raita, small bowl of seasonal vegetable/sprouts, buttermilk, one chapati 


    Evening snack- Roasted Makhana 


    Dinner- Sauteed veggies, quinoa with vegetables, eggs

Foods to be Include

    Fluids

Consumption of fluids plays a vital role in the human body, it prevents from dehydration. So it is important to drink good amount of safe, hygienic and clean water. To increase the intake of water includes fresh kadha herbal teas and soups. Fluids balance electrolyte, detoxifying the body and also boost up the immunity.

    Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

Fresh fruits and vegetables like tomato, beans, cucumber, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, radish, jamun, pears, cherries, papaya, and apple should be consumed during monsoon season. Consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables improves immunity and overall health.

    Nuts, herbs and spices

Nuts, herbs and spices contain antioxidants and rich in omega 3 fatty acids and helps in maintaining both physical and mental health.

 Foods to be Avoid

    Outside Food

The rains and temperature during monsoon can make the surroundings prone to bacterial and fungal growth. It gave rise to waterborne illness. So eat home cooked food using washed vegetables.

    Seafood

Sea foods can give rise to various bacterial infections that’s why these types of sea foods advised to avoid eating seafood during monsoons.

    Fried Foods

Fried food items like bhatura, samosa, pakoda etc, and these foods can cause gastrointestinal problems such as bloating, diarrhea and many more stomach related diseases or illness. So it is important to limit fried foods during the monsoon season
