The Heart Ages ushered in a period of knightly chivalry and feudal warfare, known by the prominence of armored cavalry and prepared castles. Swords developed to the iconic weapons of old knights, with types which range from broadswords to rapiers, each tailored to the requirements of beat on horseback or foot. Menu armor offered safety against edged tools and projectiles, transforming struggles in to elaborate contests of talent and endurance. Meanwhile, the growth of gunpowder in China through the 9th century eventually changed rivalry in Europe, as cannons and firearms gradually supplanted standard melee weapons, permanently altering the makeup of energy on the battlefield.

The Renaissance observed more fucili softair in military engineering, as improvements in engineering and style fueled the refinement of firearms and artillery. Muskets and pistols became standard-issue tools for infantry, while cannons evolved in to damaging siege tools effective at leveling fortifications with unprecedented force. The development of naval warfare also found the rise of warships armed with cannons and culverins, enabling maritime powers such as Spain, Portugal, and Britain to challenge their influence across the seas and establish vast colonial empires.

The Industrial Revolution marked a watershed moment in the annals of weaponry, as mechanized creation methods and scientific discoveries accelerated the velocity of advancement in hands manufacturing. Rifled boxes increased the reliability and range of firearms, while saying rifles and unit guns permitted soldiers to expand damaging barrages of fireplace with unprecedented rate and efficiency. The introduction of armored vehicles such as tanks and armored cars transformed land rivalry, rendering traditional cavalry obsolete and ushering in the age of mixed arms tactics.

The 20th century experienced the deadliest conflicts in human record, as two earth conflicts engulfed the planet in unprecedented carnage and destruction. The mechanized slaughter of World War I presented new horrors to warfare, as trench rivalry, compound weapons, and aerial bombardment claimed an incredible number of lives and reshaped the geopolitical landscape of Europe. Earth Conflict II found the emergence of much more damaging tools, including nuclear bombs effective at unleashing apocalyptic destruction on entire towns, ushering in the nuclear era and increasing the specter of mutually assured destruction.
