Mobile Operators Had the Largest Share in mHealth Market

The mHealth market will observe at a rate of 12.60% by the end of this decade to reach USD 154,115 million by 2030. This is because of the increase in the use of tablets, smartphones, and other mobile communication platforms, accompanied by that of mHealth apps and connected medical devices.

Also, the increasing elderly populace and chronic ailment prevalence, increasing requirement for remote patient monitoring services, and growing emphasis on patient-centric healthcare services are powering the industry.

Mobile operators had the largest share, of 51%, in 2022, and they will continue dominating in the years to come as well. This can be credited to the surge in the count of subscribers, incessant improvement in the network infra, increase in the acceptance of the 5G and 4G technologies, and growth in the number of industry consolidation actions.

Moreover, the healthcare providers will grow significantly by the end of this decade. This is as a result of the increasing requirement for improved and lucrative medical infra, snowballing count of players, increasing pace of tech progressions in the healthcare industry, and increasing consumer awareness in the direction of health and related products.

The connected devices category accounted for the largest share, of around 48% in mHealth market in 2022, and it is further expected to maintain its position during the prediction period. This can be ascribed to the growing internet penetration, rising usage of smartphones and tablets, escalating need for improved patient care, surging demand for a lower cost of care, and strong focus on real-time disease management.

Furthermore, the fast growth of population, increase in the occurrence of more than a few lifestyle-related diseases, growing trend of home-based diagnosis, and quick implementation of EHRs powering the acceptance of connected medical devices.

North America led the industry, with 38%, in 2022, and the dominance will continue in the years to come as well. This is because of the increasing elderly population, healthcare spending, growing count of chronic disease cases, and well-developed network infra.

Also, the rising burden of CVDs and mounting count of in-hospital patients lift the advance of the industry.

APAC will grow the fastest at 14.7%. This is because of the increasing investments by the key players in HIT solutions as a result of the increase in the healthcare spending in the emerging economies and increasing incidence of chronic diseases.

Moreover, nations like India, China, and South Korea, are the key contributors. This is because of the growing requirement for advanced healthcare technologies, growing R&D spending by healthcare corporations, and arrival of novel players.

It is because of the increasing chronic disease burden al over the world, the demand for mHealth will continue to increase in the years to come as well.
