Microsoft makes KB5001391 available to resolve some of the most annoying bugs in Windows 10

Since the arrival of the latest cumulative updates for Windows 10 , an increasing number of users have complained about several annoying bugs after their installation. The most serious of these bugs appears to be one that makes an abnormal use of the CPU, and that naturally negatively affects the overall performance of the machine. Now the Windows 10 KB5001391 was released to fix these problems.

Microsoft is currently rolling out this minor update to machines running Windows 10 20H2 and Windows 10 2004. Microsoft does not disclose the reasons for this abnormal CPU usage. It appears, and according to several reports, that only a few processes cause this problem. If you experience this problem on your machine, update KB5001391 should resolve it. The patch also fixes another bug in the Start menu. Windows 20h2 launched a new design that automatically changes the color theme according to the system theme.

However, since the update, some users report that the menu blocks are corrupted and show an empty insert. This disrupts some of the menu functionality for no apparent reason. After the update is now available, all blocks become functional again. Microsoft appears to be fixing some upstream bugs that will not be fixed in the next update in May 2021.
