Madden 18 Patch Is Out Now, Here's What It Does

Madden NFL 18 is updated just in time for the start on the real-world NFL season, which starts on Thursday night. Today's patch helps to make the game look better on some consoles, because it introduces high dynamic range (HDR) support, as it also implements "general stability updates" which will fix crash scenarios and lock-up scenarios.

The Madden 18 update also fixes an issue where the "Terrible Towels" during home Pittsburgh Steelers games turned up as black or grey rather then yellow and black. What's more, the patch changes the quarter length in online head-to-head matches from four minutes to 5.

As for gameplay changes, the modern update makes tweaks which make it so ball carrier moves are less capable (dammit), even though it should be better to pass rush the QB now after they hold onto the ball for years.
