Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets - 12/22/18 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Denver Nuggets pay a visit to the Los Angeles Clippers at the STAPLES Center on Saturday night.

The Denver Nuggets (nba championship rings) have been in great form as they’ve won 11 of their past 13 games and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after taking down the Mavericks in a 126-118 home win on Tuesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 32 points, 16 rebounds and four assists, Jamal Murray added 22 points with 15 assists while Trey Lyles and Monte Morris each scored 16 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 55 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line as they poured in 74 points in the first half before putting the game to bed in the third quarter. With the win, Denver improved to 21-9 on the season and 13-3 at home where they’ve now won seven straight.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve lost six of their past eight games but they will be feeling a little better after arresting a four-game slide with a 125-121 home win over the Mavericks on Thursday. Danilo Gallinari led the team with 32 points, six rebounds and four assists, Lou Williams added 26 points with eight assists off the bench, Montrezl Harrell added 18 points while Tobias Harris chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Clippers shot a healthy 56 percent from the field but they still couldn’t put the Mavericks away until 3:08 left in the fourth quarter where they went on a decisive 8-0 run. With the win, LA improved to 18-13 overall and 10-4 at home.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets (nba championship rings for sale) are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record, 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the under is 20-6 in the last 26 meetings in LA and the favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

The Clippers (championship sports rings) will be breathing a major sigh of relief after snapping a four-game skid on Thursday, but now they're hosting the red-hot Nuggets who are looking for a fifth straight win. These two teams haven't met since the season opener and it was the Nuggets who won by 107-98 at LA. This figures to be a close contest, but I think there's plenty of value with the shorthanded Nuggets as road underdogs in this one.
