Lethe is a first person adventure with survival horror elements. Explore an atmospheric and frightening world and uncover the dark secrets of your origins.

Episodes

Each Episode is considered to be a stand-alone experience. Any future Episodes will expand upon Lethe's lore and backstory, but not necessarily the same protagonist's story.

Story

Crushed under the debts of his recently deceased step-father, Robert Dawn, a journalist with an unremarkable career, decides to hunt down his origins. Everything points to a quiet mining settlement. Shortly after his arrival, Robert comes into contact with an unknown substance and develops psychokinetic abilities that feed on his life energy. As tension rises, he is faced with another, even darker threat, quickly turning the trip into a terrifying battle for survival.

Great gameplay as it reminds me of amnesia the dark descent, the story is a dark yet satisfying mystery that will leave you wanting to know more, can be scary at first but you will brave through it, so in my opinion, I think this is a great game to play if you like horror.. they didn't reinvent the wheel with this one but they managed to create quite a well made, smooth and entertaining game.

lethe offers an interesting story, pretty nice graphics, a couple of jump scares, only a few enemies to avoid and a very nice atmosphere while playing.
no voice acting at all is a minor downside. the whole story is delivered by text. that's not bad but not great either.

i finished the game in 4 1/2 hours and i had a lot of fun while exploring. i had to play the whole game a second time to get it 100% completed since you can't select levels to replay after finishing the game. so there is some room for improvement.

like the name suggests this is part one of the story and the devs say they are working on part two. and i want it now!
however lethe - episode one offers a kind of (semi) satisfactory 'ending' so unlike other games you don't stop playing right in the middle of the story.

absolutely recommended if you like your games scary. and bloody.. Lethe is hard to describe, imagine a blend of Bioshock Infinite without the gun play, Half Life 2's physics and top it all off with Amnesia. The graphics are really nice, the environment and story all feel seamless and unique. If you're looking for something interesting that isn't some triple A title, pick this up and you'll enjoy it.. Where is Episode 2??? Lol. Good game. Definatly not worth $16. Basically a shorter version of Amnesia. Great game, absolutely terrifying (though I tend to get scared easily...), it felt like such a relief each time a saving station came along because I could stop the game for a while to calm my nerves. Interesting story, great gameplay and atmosphere. Interacting with objects such as boxes is sometimes a bit clumsy and I made a LOT of noise by accident while playing this. That was a bit annoying. But other than that, everything in this game is superb!. Penumbra with great graphics and telekinesis.

-Lacking notebook (objectives, todos etc). Impressive story, successful graphics, intimidating gameplay and a tremendous environment. I think it could go through the Outlast series.. Similar to Amnesia, runs good, and its scary...I recommend.
