A librarian named Chris awakens in an abandoned attic. When attacked by a pack of hungry zombies, he completes the transformation from mild-mannered husband and Dewey Decimal System guru to zombie slaying machine.
LATE AFTERNOON OF THE LIVING DEAD is yet another zombie flick shot on a tiny indie budget with a bunch of friends standing in for proper actors. It's a black and white spoof of George Romero's output, in particular NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD; a bunch of nerdish characters are forced to fight against an onslaught of the living dead. It's an occasionally endearing film and the cast are certainly enthusiastic, but that doesn't stop it being cheap and tacky with oh-so-awful acting.
