Fender has built a one-of-a-kind replica of Kurt Cobain's Jag-Stang guitar to commemorate Nirvana's "Nevermind" album's 30th anniversary. The guitar is designed after Kurt Cobain's late Fender Jaguar and Mustang guitars and includes characteristics from both. Kurt created it in 1993 with the help of the firm. Kurt Cobain's drawings and sketches were used as inspiration for Jag-fantasy Stang's Fender guitar, which he discovered in his own journals. During his In Utero tour, which finished in April 1994, Cobain frequented the Jag-Stang.
In 1994, Cobain told Fender Frontline, "I've always loved certain parts of individual guitars since I started playing, but I could never find the right balance of everything I was searching for." - The Jag-Stang is the most near-perfection vehicle.
The Cobain Jag-Stang has an alder body, a 7.25-inch rosewood neck, single coil pickups, and vintage-style humbuckers in both left and right-handed variants, and is available in Fiesta Red and Sonic Blue.
"When we looked at the drawings Kurt Cobain produced for his perfect guitar, we were captivated by how intricate the design was," says Justin Norvell, executive vice president of Fender Products. - The new Jag Stang keeps all of its original characteristics because we value original design. Because we wanted to stay true to Kurt's vision, we didn't try anything new. Because of our long-standing relationship with the Kurt Cobain Estate, we knew we wanted to make Kurt Cobain's vision a reality. It was an honor for me to have a part in realizing his vision and revitalizing this notion.
The Jag-Stang owned by Kurt Cobain costs £1,249.
