windows media player sucks, any suggestions?
i've been using windows media player for awhile but it's apparent there is some sort of software conflicts now with a new media reading/burning program. probably too many codecs or something. anyways:
can someone suggest a good media player for my music library other than slow *** real-player and suck-*** itunes? thanks.
ps- i got windows media player classic but it's only good for videos.

What you should do is use a program such as registry mechanic and clean your registry- this may fix your problem or at least clean things up for you.
Another alternative to Windows Media player is WinAmp- it's free it has EXCELLENT plug-ins and MILLIONS of different skins to make it look cool.

I haven't tried this program yet but I see it being recommended all the time. And do plan on trying it. VLC.

I would recommend iTunes, as much as I am not a fan of Apple they did do a good job with iTunes. It will handle all your music in a very nice library. To watch movies I would recommend VLC player but it is not a music library only for watching movies.
As for windows media player, thats weird if you have the latest version and all the updates it should run find.
