The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main is a national level engineering entrance exam in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other centrally funded technical institutions. The JEE Main is held in two parts - JEE Main Paper 1 for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses and JEE Main Paper 2 for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning courses.

The JEE Main question papers consist of multiple choice questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The papers are designed to test the students' understanding and application of the concepts from the syllabus. They are known to be challenging and are considered to be one of the most difficult engineering entrance exams in the world. The question papers are divided into two parts - Part 1 and Part 2.

Part 1 consists of 25 multiple choice questions from each of the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, for a total of 75 questions. Each question carries 4 marks, and for each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.

Part 2 is for students who have opted for the B.Arch or B.Planning courses. This section consists of 25 multiple choice questions from Mathematics, 50 questions from aptitude test and 2 drawing questions, for a total of 77 questions. Each question carries 4 marks, and for each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted.
