Izzat (honor), the concept of honor in North India and Pakistan
The three young immigrant boys Wasim, Riaz and Munawar are growing up in the east end of Oslo, Norway. They find school extremely boring and become attracted to the hard boiled gang East Side Crew, which is run by the brothers Sadiq and Khalid. Petty theft soon develops in to drug dealing, violence and murder.
After years with poor Norwegian movies, i needed a kick in the arse to see a Norwegian movie. HOWEWER; If this is the new standard, that won't be a problem anymore. Things happening all the time so you can't be bothered to do anything else than see! A bit like "pusher", but not that awful violence, but you'll still get the point. A couple "not-so-good-actors" (can't call them bad), so that's what the difference from the "10". You'll probably have so much attention to the story that you'll won't think about that before it's to late. If you like movies without girl-meets-boy, but still feelings, this is something you can't miss!
I think this movie is great! The story is good and the actors isn't so bad at all. It wasn't the best gangster movie i have seen, but not awful neither. The movie contains too much violence after my opinion, but the other scenes is funny and well made. For example when the two brothers have to wear pink, tight pants. That scene made me laugh a lot. The movie describes the violent gang "East side Crew" with cruel realism, and I enjoyed it. I think that the dubbed voice was well made. I didn't know that it was a "fake" voice when I saw it the first time. I recommend this movie for all gangster movie fans, that like movies with a lot of action.
