Sandakphu is a well-known name among trekkers. It is the highest point of the Singalila Ridge and the National Park at 11930 feet. Therefore, it is also the highest point in West Bengal. Sandakphu trek is one such location, from where you can see four of the world's highest peaks. 

The Kanchenjunga family, which includes Lhotse and Makalu, towers over them, while Everest, the highest mountain, rises between them. The Kanchenjunga cluster is known as the Sleeping Buddha because of its shape. Mt. Kumbhakarna represents Buddha's head and face, whereas Mt. Kanchenjunga represents his upper body. Aside from the Sleeping Buddha's five chambers, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Makalu are visible at sunrise, shining beautifully in the golden hue. During spring, you can see the rhododendrons in full bloom. 

The entire road of this trek will be bathed in red, pink, and white lighting. There are also giant magnolia, spruce, and over 600 varieties of orchids in this area. The maximum Sandakphu trek route is located within Singalila National Park, close to the Nepal-India border. Therefore, your trek experience is rounded out with a visit to a national park, which is home to some of the fascinating, uncommon animals, such as red pandas and pangolins. 

The national park is also home to a wide range of bird species. Sandakphu trek is easy in comparison to other treks in the area. You can do this trek without using a tour operator, but you must make sure you bring your camping kit with you and have booked the guest rooms in advance.
