Beautiful isometric view, relaxing soundtrack, interesting puzzles and captivating story.. I guess I have to admit that I've fallen a little bit in love with Inked from the first time I saw it. The art style developed for Inked is so elegant. It's clean and simple and at the same time really original, recognizable and unique. The splashes of color and the world design is just astonishingly beautiful. It gives the whole game and playing experience a great atmosphere to wonder in. The controls are so simple that you might be fooled into thinking that Inked is a simple game. Donu2019t make that mistake. One can quickly discover the amount of effort and attention to detail that went into the gameu2019s design. The music and sound design really get you immersed in this lovely adventure. I can't wait to dive deeper into Inked.. I just had to review this game since there is so little reviews. TLDR - Buy this game or at the very least on sale. This was a very unique game experience and it reminds me of watching The Chosen One animator battles on youtube except you get to play as the drawing. Very unique feeling & aura to the game, the art style is what drew me in and the gameplay was entertaining enough to keep me going and I really liked how creative you could be with the objects/physics and I found ways to shortcut myself through some of the puzzles which is always fun as a speedrunner. This is another hidden gem just like Rakuen. The only thing I was frustrated with was the controls at a few sections and 2 puzzles that literally give no hints to how to solve them any way at all and you just button and theory smash until you find that one glimmer of hope for solving it but once you're past these two the game is fine. This game tells a story that teaches a important lesson that many people learn when it's too late in their lives and this reflects in the ending. Definitely going to speedrun this game. Random thoughts for the dev - really could have used more sounds/ambient sounds in general , felt very barren at some parts.. A cute puzzle game with a unique artstyle. Biggest Con: the voice acting is pretty bad.. It could have been a great game if not for the automatic save. If you did not finish a chapter you will have to restart it every time you restart the game. Very annoying.. I love the concept, art style and story of this is game. I would truly love to love this game but the controls are just too fiddly, especially when you have to complete a section within a certain time. I find myself retrying over and over and sometimes succeeding just by sheer luck. Sometimes I felt quite pleased with myself for finding a solution to a puzzle and then one twitch in the wrong direction and I've died and am back almost to the beginning of the puzzle. In the end I spent a lot of time feeling punished rather than rewarded. Nonetheless it is a lovely looking game.. This is really beautiful game unlike any other! I just reached second world (dark mines) and puzzles are getting harder but that's exactly what I want from a puzzle game. All that plus breathe taking musical score with really exciting story.. Inked is one of those games that go beyond being just a game and become an experience. It calls attention first of all for its aesthetic factor. The graphics refer to drawings made with the pen on paper, it is very beautiful and very well done. But what could be just an aesthetic decision becomes something fundamental to the game narrative. And it is in the narrative that this game becomes something beyond. His story begins lightly, giving us little elements and tips, but over time it turns out to be a heavy, delicate and attention-grabbing story. The subject is very delicate and is treated with a lot of respect, knowledge of the attention of the creators, they have indeed done an excellent job in all aspects. Inked is that kind of game that serves both those who like games and those who do not like video games, it's not just about playing.. Puzzles games are pretty much the only thing I play, and I read this game is chock full of them. It's the truth. I'm about two hours in and there is such a variety of puzzles. Sure, sometimes the pacing is a bit off but for the most part they are very entertaining or should I say challenging. The art is very pretty, it's what attracted me to the game (aside from the promise of good puzzles). The images don't do it justice, because it is only when you move in the world, you can really start appreciating it. What surprised me is the music, you don't hear much of it. It's also very nice and calming, helps concentrate on the puzzle solving. The story also seems interesting for now (it's not exactly what I thought it would be), so if you are into that you should be very happy.. Amazing hand-drawn graphics, relaxing music and very interesting puzzles.
