Increase of axial velocity of material in Raymond Mill

The increase of high-pressure Raymond mill speed and inclination, will make the quality of the material flow increases, the residence time is shortened, this is because as the speed increases, the number of materials per unit time into the material layer of the active layer increased, per unit time of material axial displacement increasing material axial movement speed increase, and material quality increase the flow of material, shorten the residence time.

With the increase of the inclination of the kiln, the speed and gravity component of the high speed Raymond Mill increases along the axial direction, and the velocity of the material moves along the axial direction, and the residence time of material is shortened, and the mass flow rate of the material increases. With the increase of kiln stopper lost height, mass flow rate increases, the residence time is shortened. The height of the retaining ring increases by 1 mm, the material mass flow will increase by 1% to 2%, and the residence time will shorten by 0.15% to O.25%. However, the relationship between the height of the retaining ring and residence time remains to be further verified. This is because the installation of the tail gear ring affects two aspects of the residence time.

On the one hand, the height of material accumulation at the end of the feeding pipe increases, and the slope of the material layer increases, which is equivalent to the increase of the kiln inclination. The axial movement speed of the material increases and the residence time of the material decreases.

On the other hand, the thickness of the material layer is increased, the cross section area of the particle flow is enlarged, the axial velocity of the material is reduced, and the residence time of the material is prolonged. The lengthening and shortening of the material residence time depends on the comprehensive effect of these two aspects. For the test chamber of the variable diameter kiln, the residence time of material decreases with the increase of the height of the retaining ring of the kiln, indicating that the former has greater influence on the residence time than the latter.
