This game might be fun, but it really lacks explanations or tooltips on what the goal is, Help menu is pitiful. None of the different modes are explained excpt the base difference between survival and match 3, and it wouldn't be so bad if you could extract it from context, but they all look the same and appear to behave the same.
For 99 cents it might be worth it, although the lack of good fullscreen support and controller support does bring it down for me.
I can't bring myself to recommend it (I know it's only 1 dollar but still, a lot of free games are better)
. It's like bejeweled and defender had a one night stand but someone poked a hole in the condom.. Its a okay game however can get boring pretty quickly. recommended to anyone that likes simple space shooters. A simple fun game, it can get addicting. Has some pretty awesome music too. It's funny when you use discord (If use that instead of skype's crappy call quality) becuase it says you're "Playing in space.". in Space is an addictive, surprisingly enjoyable space shooter with enjoyably simplistic mechanics. As a ship with what basically amounts to a peashooter strapped to it, you fire at coloured shapes to stop them from reaching past your defences. However with each shot your defensive line edges forward, making the game harder and harder. This is where the aformentioned simplistic mechanics come in. In one mode of the game you need to destroy three or more of the same coloured shape to get your defensive line to move back. In another, you have to time your shots and destroy ships in rapid succession to get it to recede.

This mechanic is really cool and nifty and makes the game fun to play. It requires pinpoint accuracy and you only really have yourself to blame if you break your combo.

Throw in some cool Atari Esque visuals and a decent soundtrack and you've got a game that is more than worth the 79p it's sold for.. Pretty decent game for random time killing where you only have a laptop and one hand. Definitely worth the buck but don't expect a very large amount of content, just a good amount of replayability. Tetris meets Space Invaders. An enjoyable, albeit somewhat choppy SHMUP experience.
