Belgian police broke up a 52-person illegal sex party at a house in front of a hospital where coronavirus patients were being treated, just two weeks after a raid in Brussels on another orgy involving a Hungarian MEP and 25 other men.

The latest party was held for the 28th birthday of a Frenchwoman, who had rented the holiday home.

The police raided the property in the early hours of Sunday in the town of Saint-Mard in south-east Belgium, two miles from the border with France. All those taking part, including female escorts, were from the nearby French cities of Thionville and Metz. They were all described by the police as being “naked or lightly dressed”.

François Culot, mayor of the local commune of Virton, said that he was outraged at the party, taking place just a few steps from the Edmond-Jacques hospital: “Some people really do not respect anything. Organising an illegal party in the middle of the night in front of a clinic where Covid patients are treated? This is unacceptable.”

This is the third Belgian sex party this month that police have raided.

Two weeks ago, an anti-LGBT Hungarian MEP, József Szájer, was caught climbing down a drainpipe naked when police raided a 25-man orgy in Brussels. And last week, police broke up a 10-person party in the northern city of Paal, Limburg, just 20 miles from the Dutch border.

Belgium has a reputation for sex parties, especially among French swingers, who call them partouzes.

In 2014, it emerged that Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former International Monetary Fund chief and one-time French presidential hopeful, had been a regular attendee at a Belgian brothel where such parties took place.
