If your plan is to try Phantasy Star Online 2

If your plan is to cheap PSO2 Meseta on an Xbox then congrats: booting and downloading Phantasy Star Online 2 is as painless as you would expect. PC hopefuls, but should avoid the Windows Store client in any way costs. Calling it a dumpster fire would be a compliment, as well as little under a month later launch the Windows Store version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will refuse to operate, can uninstall itself at random, will consume hard drive space with ghost files, and has a code error which causes the lobby to operate like hot ass on a summer afternoon in Florida.

Thankfully, ardent fans of Phantasy Star Online 2 happen to be enjoying the Japanese servers for years, and they created a tweaker that allowed them to do so with minimal fuss.

Time will tell when Sega and Microsoft are able to acquire the official download in order, but till they decide to place Phantasy Star Online 2 on a much superior store the PSO2 Tweaker is the only way PC players can enjoy Phantasy Star Online 2 without needing to chuck their computer into a bonfire. It's unfortunate, and I would bet good money a wholesome segment of possible fans ricocheted off Phantasy Star Online 2 due to Windows Store woes. Server population remains healthy since launching, however, the servers were once filled to capacity and I can not help but feel the launch played with the largest roll in the decline.

When there is one part of Phantasy Star Online 2 I have taken umbrage with it is the narrative: the first few chapters are a slog of cutscenes that parade out a wide cast of characters whom you connect with. There is the occasional assignment but the entire event is really haphazardly thrown together it is hard to care about what's going on. It depends on well-worn anime tropes, so fans of this genre will probably be more engaged with it than I was, but it is apparent the first couple of chapters have been tied together by a mission grind that did little to bridge each event.

Even the localization is a mess -- a litany of title changes that are inquisitive and spelling errors. The awkward dialogue is more than a few, although their best do try. I have been told the chapters are an improvement, but what is here isn't pleasurable. The story is worth engaging with if you want to unlock more NPCs to fight alongside you. Otherwise it is ideal to skip it and see the Phantasy Star anime. The American version of Phantasy Star Online 2 released to what many expected to be a playable launch dependent on the success of this Xbox One version. Be ready for a narrative of my experience, by the PC preload, to buy meseta pso2 the game we expected a week ago.
