If you're looking to find elegant, sophisticated and stylish

party in Sydney's prestigious downtown business districts on a Thursday night it is a must that you be interested in visiting Crystal bar inside the old General Post Office (or GPO as it is today).
Crystal bar, situated under Martin area, is surrounded the headquarters at the Commonwealth Bank, as well as a variety of corporate headquarters of multinational companies. There is a reason for this crystal bars you can attribute it to the luxurious but relaxed atmosphere amazing decor or the fact that it's within stumbling distance the bar is a magnet for business men and women looking to wind down after a hard day in the salt mines.

If you are going here and are a male you should wear a suit and boots. If you're going as a female, wear whatever you'd like by 10pm or later and you'll definitely draw the attention of this male dominated crowd.

In spite of the suit and ties, the overall atmosphere is joyful (as opposed to pretentious like one would think). Evidently the global financial meltdown has dampened the spirits of bankers. This should not be a surprise considering the record profits they consistently have been able to earn. While economics aren't the only factor I was amazed and felt very comfortable in this particular environment.

Regarding the design, it's quite decadent and the fact it is underground definitely helps the ambience. Additionally, the beverage service was incredibly quick given the crowds, and the bar staff was very polite and friendly despite the fact that I was the only person there without any formal attire.
