I wonder if desolation and seamless multiplayer

I wonder if desolation and Diablo Gold seamless multiplayer can really coexist, however. The world felt pretty desolate before I saw other players bolting across the first town I struck, and then running toward the exact same boss I was. When I struck that boss--the unremarkable, jelly-filled Merinth of the Deep--I thought about how they'd already murdered her into their timeline. I believed of World of Warcraft, also of Disneyland (it's hard not to in Anaheim). There is no queuing or something like that, but seeing gamers who are obviously on precisely the exact same quest, but are not a permanent part of my planet, reminds me this isn't only my adventure.

Diablo is a multiplayer-focused series, but eight players adventuring at a Diablo 2 game (or PKing every other) generates a different sense than,'Poof, here are a few additional people you can play, but if not, they'll disappear into the server emptiness and you will meet more people within another city.' Again, however, this is clearly a demo designed to be pumped at a convention, and the programmers are thinking about these issues. PvP zones will clearly feel quite different.

The explosions of loot are another reminder that I'm chasing numbers in a compulsive loop, to be honest, but perhaps I'm immunized to their mood-breaking effect after enjoying so much Diablo 2 and 3. Legendary things were plentiful from the demo, and had the silly names I expected. The Stone of Jordan is a ring which game me +1 Rank to all equipped skills, which is pretty sweet.

Visual character customization is fresh to the series, but we have preset characters for the demo with two appearances and a few skills selected for us. For the Sorceress, I'd the Frostbolt and Fireball abilities I said jump to the mouse buttons, also Blizzard for AOE harm and slowdown, Lightning Spear which pops a bolt between enemies, Meteor to get a high-damage AOE assault that must be timed just right, and Conduit, which turned me into a supersonic lightning god who takes no harm and zaps around the map killing things by simply existing.

Lightning Spear was a'fire and buy Diablo Immortal Gold forget' kind of talent which bored me.
