Interesting fact: they tried to bring OSRS to the DS, then into the PSP and other consoles, but it was so dreadful and conducted shittily that it was necessarily tossed. If you were to play oldschool you would be starting from square one. OSRS was a reboot, so you are able to log in with your old details (which is currently your account for the two games) but you will start at square one in OSRS. Oh that's unsatisfactory:-LRB- can they bring modern rs instead. You don't want modern RS. Well that sucks. Back in MY day RuneScape didn't need that crap - a membership has been good enough! OSRS just has two microtransactions. Membership is like it had been previously. Bonds are an ingame item which can be gotten for real money. They can be employed to get membership. They enable players to get membership using their ingame currency by purchasing them from other players. They are a sort of microtransaction but their addition allowed Jagex to add free to perform servers into the game so meh. Plus it combats gold farmers/sellers. On top of this RS3 has very few updates, along with the upgrades they set out are usually pretty shallow or small. OSRS is a far better match, far more authentic to the original Runescape encounter and contains 3-5x the playerbase which runescape 2107 gold has. It gets sizeable montly updates and has a dev team which actually participates with the community. I'd certainly give it a try if I were you.
