TL;DR A delightful roguelike that anyone can pick up and play.

With a gentle learning curve IAO is a great way to introduce people who don't like playing video games for hours to the roguelike genre. Perfect for quick 20 minute play sessions.

Dev is very open to feedback and deserves praise for this gem.. This is one simple, fast and fun roguelike. It doesn't take a wiki to learn but has plenty of depth in decision and strategy. Like most roguelikes luck plays a significant part but the game does a good job of giving you options.. Pretty fun though fairly short game. I wouldn't mind seeing some DLC for this game to make it longer at some point.. It's the epitome of a coffee break roguelike. Something you can blaze through between the mindless cacophony of daily life, a quick and sweet oasis that is always welcoming you back into the dungeon one more time for an easy win and sometimes an even quicker death.

The game itself is simple: you go around spending your ill gotten gains on various chests strewn about to enable you to murder more monsters to get more gold to get more items. The amount of equipment slots is the real selling point because it's frankly an unreal amount of effects you have going at a single time, and it's just.... charming is the best way I can describe this. The dev really seems to care about supporting this game too, and at five bucks it's a steal. Pick this up if you want something that's quick and refreshing and doesn't demand anything out of you.. Sound effects in this game:
- when you land a critical hit it sounds really satisfying
- Some items also make really cool distinct sounds
- the devs also whisper in your ears when you talk to the NPCs

10/10 just subscribed to a new ASMR channel. Although the core mechanic and gameplay is fun, I believe this is the base for something that could be much more progressive. A game that I make it to the end the very 1st time that I play is not my idea of fun.. Cute cheap coffebreak RL I've quite enjoyed. It's definitely on the easier side, but that's why I decided I wouldn't consider myself as having "won" until I got all the achievements instead, which is very doable while not completely braindead.

I play entirely at work between calls (it's great for that, by the way) so my actual playtime is less than half of what's displayed, but for the time I did get out of it I found it surprisingly fun, and it's one I'll definitely go back to after the dev adds more content (which they seem pretty keen on doing already)!

As the name suggest these modifications were relatively easy to add. I wouldn't call this a hot-fix now, just an ease-of-use update.

Note that the upcoming content updates and bigger changes will take more time. I'm going to publish new changes (items, maps, balance fixes etc...) for the game, but producing them will take more than a day or two, so the next update comes closer to the weekend. Hello everyone.

Sadly I made a mistake in the code of the latest "elite" update :steamfacepalm: so I had to upload a new build today. A pesky bug crashed the game on startup if you completed the game prior to the update once (and only once). I guess still many people could run into this wondering why the game is not starting. The problem was with the automatic unlocking logic of the skull candle.

Please accept my apology if you wanted to try the new update, but the game did not launch :steamsad: . In 1.1.5 this problem is fixed now and the game should work properly.

Looks like I'm struggling with keeping the updates bug-free like Joey is struggling with the loot on the animated box art :steamhappy: . Sorry :steamfacepalm: ! I'm going back to making new features and content now and will try my best to don't make new issues while doing so.

I don't usually share upcoming updates in detail as I've fallen into the trap of failing to deliver on time before :steamfacepalm:, but I'm really close to the finish line with this one.

I'm planning to release a series of graphical facelift features and this is how the first step looks like:







Jokes aside IMHO in-game the new tile system looks better and the dungeons feel a bit more claustrophobic.
I'm almost done with all the tile-sets so I can ship it soon with more goodies ;)
