How to Use a Kohler Highline Toilet

The Kohler Highline toilets are some so-called "comfort-height" toilets in which the consumer rests at the same top as in a typical chair. Like related comfort-height bathrooms from other suppliers, Highline bathrooms offer better convenience and comfort for customers and are designed to be fast and simple to install Khol Toilet Seat

Take away the Previous Bathroom and Mount the Feel Ring on the New Bathroom.

First, switch off the water supply to your active toilet (or the main water shutoff valve to the entire house). Then, use a couple of gloves and remove your existing bathroom before continuing to the next step.

Position the Toilet on the Drain Flange

Flip the toilet again so it's now upright, with the bowl facing upward, and carefully set it onto the ground over the toilet drain flange. Therefore the T-bolts on the flange feed up through the mounting holes on the root of the toilet. If used while smooth, the felt band should remain caught to the bathroom as you change it out right-side-up. Be mindful as you do this; therefore, the soft wax doesn't brush walls or floors; the resin may be hard to wash off.

Compress the Wax Ring

When the T-bolts are extending through the rising openings on the root of the toilet, apply weight to the toilet bowl to press it down and compress the wax ring. (Wax rings are better than silicone rings in this regard; they're better to squeeze to whatever degree is needed.)

Check Measurements

Work with a recording evaluation to double-check the proportions involving the toilet bowl and the rear wall. A good reference is always to measure from the tank bolt openings to the back wall on each side. This can ensure that the toilet base is far enough from the wall to accept the toilet tank and provide the toilet base is square to the wall.

Secure the T-Bolts at the Foot of the Toilet

Put the included plastic appliance, steel appliance, and enthusiast (in that order) onto both stuffed brass T-bolts inserting up from the double-check the sizes involving ground through the mounting holes on the root of the toilet.

Kohler's instructions merely say that you should not overtighten the nuts, but this would be emphasized: it is rather easy to crack the Highline's base if you overtighten these rising bolts. You can prevent that by using channel-lock pliers to tighten these screws rather than an outlet wrench.

Prepare the Tank

A peculiarity of the Kohler Highline toilet is that the gasket screws underneath the tank need to be forced back into the tank for the tank to fit properly onto the toilet bowl. If you don't do this, the tank bolts won't be good enough to give down through the mounting holes on the toilet bowl.

Tighten the Tank Bolts

Thread the rising insane onto the tank screws and hand-tighten them together with your fingers. Then, tighten them down somewhat more with a plug wrench and 13 mm socket. The insane must shrink onto the rubber gaskets.

Level the Toilet Tank

When you turn the tank's bolts, keep a bubble level on the surface of the reservoir to be sure of for level, equally side-to-side and front-to-back. You can level the pool by selectively securing or loosening the nuts getting the reservoir bolts.

Connect the Water Offer and Connect the Bathroom Seat

Finally, deploy the toilet seat, as directed by the manufacturer. Toilets do not include a toilet seat. Therefore you may need to buy that separately.
