Colored materials and reflective materials containing any kind of design might interfere with the cut sensor mark being read by the Cricut Explore machine. We highly recommend you use an InkJet printer and an 8.5”x11 white material for all your Print Then Cut projects with the Cricut Explore machine.

Things To Remember For How To Print And Cut On Cricut
Image Bleed: The image is allotted with a bleed by default. The bleed is a small border around the image border that allows you to cut precisely around the edges. It is highly recommended for the precision of cutting; always use the bleeding. However, there is no option available to turn the bleeding on/off from the project Preview screen. The bleed might make the image appear to look more distorted or fuzzy, but this border will get trimmed after the cutting process, and it will help you make a smooth cut.
Print Then Cut all in one session: It is always recommended to complete the entire process of Print Then Cut in one go/ one session without changing the browser and the computer to avoid any error while performing printing and cutting operations. While you can still save your Print and Cut project within the Design Space by switching your browser or computer in the process of printing and cutting. You can even save your print and cut it as a PDF. But for the best, we recommend you cut your project in a single Design Space session.
Proper placement of materials on the cutting mat: Place the material you have to print at the top left section of your cutting mat directly along the top edge of the adhesive on the cutting mat. You have to ensure that the material is straight and contains no wrinkles, as it helps the machine detect the cut sensor and marks near your image correctly. Using the Cricut LightGrip mat is always recommended if you print on copy paper or standard paper.
