I use these little Shirin syringes that I got from the dollar store and they're also worked out in millimeters I've got a bunch of them so I can use one for each of the different nutrient solutions, and the reason is every time you mix the nutrient solutions. you're tempted to mix all the nutrient solutions in one go in here but you shouldn't do that because the advanced nutrients ph bloom ph bloom can interact with each other and we don't want any nutrient lock out so what you have to do is you have to mix these nutrients in the water one at a time give them a minute or so to make settle and stabilize in the water before you Nick makes the next nutrient solution so what about the great things about the flora Series performance pact it gives you all the things you need to grow salad greens and we're gonna go through the detailed version of each one you can look at the presentation for more information also there's a lot of great information on the general hydroponics website well the good thing is here he's got a mixing schedule on the side there's two. it's ones drain to waste and on the other side is the recirculating and this is what we use for hydroponics you can also download the PDF off the DVD it's also on their website so we're gonna use this scale here and mix a batch of nutrient solution and it's very easy to understand .

so I'm gonna go through it with you now okay as you can see the chart on the side is very easy to understand it's broke down by weeks week 1 week 2 week 3 and week 4 now I've experimented with these over the past few years different solutions and different mixes and I found that week one you don't even need to use it basically all you're going to use is your D chlorinated water that's been pH balanced the thing is the seed is a little packet of nutrients and it's got everything. it needs to actually grow its first set of leaves and its taproom and that's all you really need for week one so I found sometimes if you put the nutrient solution in sometimes, it's a little strong and it can kill off your seedlings straight away so go with the stabilized water for week one week two I give them this completely and I've worked on starting with week three I've experimented with all the different versions of these over the past few years and I found starting at the week three mix level and using that week three mix level for week 2 week 3 week 4 and even week 5 if you're growing salad greens that take longer to mature as you can see on the list here week 3 is going to be for late growth. we're going to use it for all three of our growing weeks so if you look at nutria the nutrient base here it's st. L milliliters then floral grove 10 milliliters the micro and 5 milliliters for the bloom now that is for every gallon of water now what we've done is we've got a 5 5 gallon book and we filled it with 4 gallons of water so you're just multiplied by 4 and that gives you a 40 milliliters of glue 40 milliliters of micro and 20 milliliters of flora bloom.
