How to make your child's easel board interesting?

The easel board is a perfect space for children to play. When they consider walls, furniture, curtains, or any surface as their potential canvas, an easel board becomes a canvas boundary. Drawing, colouring, and painting are indeed most favourite activities for a toddler. They can spend hours with the easel board. But given their age, it is challenging to keep their interest going.

Considering now toddlers want to play with smartphones and other electronic gadgets, they start ignoring essential toys. To keep up with their interest, here are some tips to make their easel board interesting:

Change the location
Children often get bored being in the same place for a long, making them lose interest in the activity. An excellent way to encourage their interest in the easel board is by changing the location of the board. Try placing it near the balcony or any other place your child commonly sits at.

Use different material
To ensure that your child is still drawn toward sketching on an easel board, you can also consider using a different board material. Use coloured or printed sheets to draw your child's attention to the board. You can also get them writing pads for kids to write on the easel board.

Bring in water paints
After a point, children get bored using crayons and colour pencils, making them lose interest in drawing. In that case, you might want to shake things up a bit. Bring in water paints, and your child will surely get fascinated by them and start holding a brush.

Paint with them
There is no better way to bond with your child than playing with them. If you find your child moving away from the easel board, they may be bored of playing alone. You should try encouraging them to paint along with them. You get a chance to explore your child's creative side when you sit with them. If not painting, try your hand at kids indoor games.

They are super fun and exciting. The entire family can spend the weekend with thrill, be competitive, and bond together.

Drip painting
The other way to keep children engaged is drip painting. This is a great activity that is easy to do and offers a lot of learning. You can also frame the painting and have a memory of their childhood persevered. However, be careful that your little one does not splash the colour all over the house when trying their hand at drip painting.
