In order to enable automated sync on Gmail, open the Gmail application further click on the three bar menu icon further scroll down and click “settings” further click on your account name further go down to the heading data usage further click on “sync Gmail” this will get the automated sync enabled, it is advisable that the user makes sure that he or she is connected to the internet and also the application is updated.
