How to Block Ads in Microsoft Applications on Windows 10?

Using Windows 10 has numerous pros, but frequent ad popups can severely hinder your user experience. Microsoft allows advertisements in the MS Store applications andmost of them are malware-free, but some infected ones might slow down your system. Follow the mentioned instructions to solve the error.

Delete Application Advertisement

Go to the lower right-hand side of the desktop screen and select the Action Centre button.
After that, you should click on the All Settings option.
On the following screen, select the Apps option.
Then you should see each installed application in the right-hand side panel of the using Windows.
Select the ‘Candy Crush Soda Saga’ game and click on the Uninstall button.
You will see a prompt for final verification.
Now, select the Uninstall button again to complete the procedure.
Block Lock Screen Ads

Hold the Win + I keys at the same time on your system to launch the Settings app.
After that, select the Personalization option.
You should click on the Lock screen option from the left-hand side panel.
The standard background is the Windows spotlight.
Then modify it to either Slideshow or Picture from the menu of the drop-down.
Thereafter, switch the toggle of ‘Get fun facts, and more from Windows and Cortana on your lock screen to disable it.
Block Start Menu Ads

Go to the Start menu on your system.
After that, click on the Settings option.
When it shows into the view section, select the Personalization.
You should click on the Start option from the left-hand side column.
Finally, reach the right-hand side panel then switch the toggle of ‘Show suggestions occasionally in Start’ to disable it.
Block Windows Ink Experience Advertisement

Hold the Win + I keys at the same time on your system to launch the Settings app.
On the subsequent screen, select the Pen and Windows Ink option.
Go to the Right panel and untick the Show recommended app suggestions box.
Block Action Centre& Notifications Ads

Navigate to the Windows logo and click on it on your system.
After that, select the Settings option.
After launching the Settings application, select the System option.
You should click on the Notification and action option situated in the left-hand side panel.
Then find the option of “Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows” and disable it.
Block Live Tiles Ads

You cannot be uninstalled in-built applications like Groove music, MS Store, and Xbox, etc. but you should turn off the application tile to stop displaying updates.
Hold the Windows key to open the Start menu.
After that, all tiles are available on your screen, then select the tile you want and right-click on it.
Then select the More option and afterwards choose ‘Turn Live Tile off.’
Block Targeted Advertisements

Go to the Windows Search section on your system.
After that, input Privacy into it and hit the Enter key.
Once open the screen, select the Open option.
Now, switch the toggle of “Let apps use my advertising ID to make ads more interesting to you based on your app activity” to disable it.
