Black and blue inks will give a good picture on the white paper, but not on sofas. When you try to rub the ink stains it makes it worse on sofas or couches. If you are looking for perfect cleaning then opt for the professional sofa cleaning services like Goklean4u, which I use.

An innocent-looking ballpoint pen can spell disaster for your upholstery. One slip of the stylus and blue or black ink makes its indelible mark on your sofa. Fortunately, most fabric couches can withstand a bit of scrubbing, and the ink stain might not be as permanent as it first appears. Combining a bit of scrubbing with the right cleaning solution erases the mistake without damaging the sofa.

Dampen a clean, white cloth with rubbing alcohol or a dry cleaning solvent. Blot the ink stain with the cloth, adding more solvent as needed. Avoid rubbing, which can spread the stain or force it deeper into the upholstery fibers of your sofa.
Combine equal parts of glycerin soap, hand dishwashing and detergent and water and mix them thoroughly. Blot the stain with this solution until it has faded completely. Add two to three drops of ammonia to the mixture to help it lift the stain if the soap solution isn't working on its own.
Rinse the cleaners from the upholstery with clear water after the ink is completely removed. Blot the excess water out of the upholstery with a clean, dry cloth until it is as dry as possible.
Allow the upholstery to dry thoroughly. Avoid touching or sitting on the sofa until the upholstery dries, otherwise soil and dust might stick to the wet fabric, resulting in a dingy area after it has dried.
