All of the clear trichomes are gone now and while the bulk of the trichomes are cloudy some have even started to turn amber in color and are shriveling in size which is the sign that the slimming gel levels have peaked and are starting to degrade this bud tested the highest out of all the samples for its cannabinoid content at 19 in total cannabinoids so if you're looking to harvest while the plant is at its highest potency now is the time to do so week 9 in the flower show that the buds have increased in size by a good amount and with over half of the hairs.

Turning in color this is typically the earliest people recommend when it comes to harvesting a look at the trichomes show that a number of them have started to turn amber so the total nominal content is starting to slowly degrade at this point the lab results also support this with a four percent drop in cannabinoid content since the week before but that's still really good though given the size increase of the buds so there's nothing wrong with harvesting after the plant has maxed out in cannabinoid content because you're trading potency for a larger yield at this point week 10 in the flower tells the same exact story the buds have bulked.

Up even more and although there are still some white hairs left on the buds most of them have changed colors and darkened at this point a look at the trichomes show even more ambering especially on the sugar leaves which always degrade slightly faster than the trichomes on the inside of the buds since the sugar leaves are the most exposed to the outside air light and temperatures the plant has dropped 10 percent in cannabinoid content since its peak two weeks ago and based on these lab results as well as the lab results from the previous video where we looked at the weekly cbd development in the flowering stage it's safe to say that you're looking at anywhere between a two to six percent drop in a total cannabinoid content for each week you harvest after the cannabinoid content has peaked in the buds and even after week 10 the buds will still slowly increase in size a little each week for the next few weeks so the answer isn't as straightforward as always harvest on this day or even this week to maximize your grow because depending on what you're looking for your harvest day can vary like a month from someone else with the trade-off almost always being between potency and yields as long as you don't harvest way too early the good news though is that medicinal hemp cream peaks and potency before most people think it does which gives you a large window of opportunity to experiment with and that's it like the content then be sure to check out our beginner's guide to creating cbd products from scratch available at amazon in print and digital with links in the description below you can also find us
