About This Game

Grab the Bottle is a quirky puzzle game in which you solve puzzles by stretching your arm through the level.

You need to maneuver an ever-extending arm to grab the goal bottle, avoiding anything hazardous on the way. To make things more tricky, Grab the Bottle brings physics and puzzles to the mix. You must grab, pull and drop objects to get to the goal bottle. On the way you will find different kinds of obstacles that need to be dealt with.


The story of the game begins in the 50s, somewhere in rural America, where one particularly strong minded baby is taking his first steps and discovers that anything is possible. Especially as he seems to have an infinitely stretchy arm.

Grab the Bottle follows the life of this boy, from cradle to grave, solving many levels of puzzles inspired by “real life problems” on the way. Central element to the story is the specific craving for bottles the main character has and the scenarios include stuff like finding precious antique bottle from an attic or just grabbing a bottle of cold beer after a hard workday.

Steam launch options pops up. Choices are "Play game" and... no other options. Alright, talk about options with no options.
Choose "Play game".
Game loads, music starts playing, main menu screen appears.
Choose "Options".
Get level selection screen. Can't see any options. Looks like it might be the "Play game" screen.
While wondering if I mistakenly chose "Play game", achievement pops up.
Go back and choose "Play game". Get same level selection screen. Yep, so no options then.
Slightly amused when game closes abruptly: "GrabTheBottle.exe has stopped working".
Check achievement. Says it's "Untouchable - Complete all levels with 0 deaths"
Alright, seems that my job is done here. Was fun.
Launch game and wait to get 5 minutes total playtime in order to write review. Get a steam card in the process.
Write review.
Request refund.
3/10 for the nice achievement and the free card.. Details from < 1 hour played.

- Massively frustrating. Couldn't even complete the tutorial.
- Glitchy! Graphics sometimes just turn into rainbow lines if you look at the game funny.
- Doesn't handle alt-tabbing gracefully by any metric.
- No, you can't fit through that gap. No, seriously, don't even try unless you have two feet of clearance.
- Yes, your hand's hitbox is REALLY THAT BIG. Get used to having Shrek hands.
- If you bump an object up against a wall, you're stuck and might as well reset before you die.

Still worth the 75% off sale money, but not worth it at the normal price.
. One would think an infinitely stretchy arm would make life easier.. It's a fun, challenging game. Enjoying it so far. Only problem I've come across is at times after pausing and returning to game, the hand you control will get locked in a fail animation and no viable option other than to close application and restart.. 3\/10 for the nice achievement and the free card.. What? How on earth this game hasn't received more attention? Great art style, good music, nice touch of humour and level design that actually makes you think! Seriously, what's not to like? Recommended for all puzzle game fans! (difficulty so far has been just right, I try to remember to update my review when I've completed the game)

Ok now I completed the game and it took me 7 hours of pretty intense gameplay. Still I've got a couple of achievements, that give me good reason to return to this game in the future! Hmm, where could that barn party be at...

I would say that the difficulty is just right, a little incostistent maybe. There are some hard levels that make you think and took me about 40 tries, some levels you might get on the first try. I don't consider that as a big negative point, important thing is that there are those harder levels that force you to think properly. The 3 boss levels are different, they don't require thinking so much but a little bit of practice and skill, which is very nice contrast to all other puzzle-type levels!

Really nice and refreshing game, I recommend! Especially good for those late evenings that you are too tired to play shooty-bang-bang games, but don't want to go to sleep either.. It is a nice puzzle game with little bit of precision. I found myself stuck a few times because I tried to think too much outside the box. Can't wait for the multiplayer.. This was certainly something different. I cannot really compare to any other game, but it is a very cool puzzle game. Maybe a bit of Snake here? First levels were kinda easy and it took a bit to get things rolling, but after that puzzles were very interesting and tricky to solve. Well worth the price of 6.49 I paid for it in sale.

The tutorials at the beginning could be bit better though and pause menu could use some work.

8.5/10. Grab the Bottle plays out a bit like the classic Snake game with you having to carefully maneuver an arm through the environment without running into yourself. It's not really my taste in games to be honest but everything is quite well executed. The game looks good, the sound design is also pretty good, and the gameplay is solid without any major issues.
