You're at Summerbreeze with GoD? Yay, than I'll say hi to you there! Powerwolf plays on wednesday at 00:15 if I remember correctly.
I have the same problem with bands like Lordi. They just. annoy me.

Well. I just (most of the time) don't like music that I can't take (sort of) seriously.

I especially love the opener's title RAISE YOUR FIST, EVANGELIST! that's almost as kult as "Pastor of Desaster"

A slight call afar is tempting me, like a whisper sweet or an awful scream; I cannot ignore what I've always been, I'm leaving again - one last time? in my little kingdom I can be what I really wanted to be. Powerwolf makes quite bombastic heavy metal with a satanistic theme. They play it out so well, so extremely serious, that yoou can't take them serious anymore. What makes them amazing is that their shows are abselutely great, and the singer is -really- good, with his opera-background and all.

Btw, was anyone at Wacken last year? There will be a special edition of the album and the Wacken gig will be added as a DVD, so if anyone was there, I heard they totally kicked ass, is that true?

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by frost.
But i prefer "Kiss of the cobra king"

I don't know this band. Are they a parody band? I hope so, because if they are not deliberately silly as a theme, then those titles are just ridiculous.

i've heard it enough els, it annoys the crap out of me. this album is indeed a grower but it doesnt do it for me. only real awesome song is raise your fist. i cringe every time when i hear panic in the pentagram, what the hell were those dudes thinking?! the chorus is okay, but the intro riff. it is exactly fear of the dark. the same intervals, the same note durations. it just doesnt feel right. the last song also annoys the hell out of me. the vocals go low like sabaton growl. the whole cd just reminds me of other bands. that are just 2 examples why i dont like bible of the beast and i see it as inferior compared to lupus dei.
I alreeady expected that. Lines like "Satan! Satan! Satan! Satan!" are probably not very serious. But then, there are christian bands who do nothing but singing "Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!" and actually mean it. Oh well. Put something in their heads.

And you're right about the reminding of other songs and bands, I have that too. It just doesn't bother me that much.

Really looking forward to their bang your head/summerbreeze performance. it's always cool how they can make the whole audience sing along, even if no one knew the lyrics.

The tracklist has a few nice gems:
And anyway, who doesn't like to let trve grim evil Black Metallers look total fools?
Once saw them live, they seem to like my region, because often playing here. Their singer is really unique, although his english skills are quite limited, but really funny lyrics! It's like someone said above: Manowar for erm, let's call them unfaithfull people.

It is just that heavy metal musicians write in minor keys, and when you do that, you frighten people. Ronnie James Dio.

The more people think you're serious, the funnier it is for those who know they don't. I completely understand them, I do that all the time.
