For What It's Value (Psychedelia Revisited)

The decision to visit Virgin was a no brainer, especially as it provided the chance to understand the rules along side such luminaries as Spike Stent. For some time, Simon transferred round the many Virgin galleries but the life of creating tea and working with fevered egos couldn't carry on indefinitely. Things came to a mind with the UK indies group James, who had lately completed touring but were however in tour mentality. Posford discovered the knowledge a pain and began to look elsewhere for work. Stent proposed to Simon that he must contact Martin Glover at Butterfly Studios.

It had been here that Simon discovered the flexibility to work on his own ideas. He easily produced a series of revolutionary goa trance singles culminating in the today traditional recording "Twisted" under his trance moniker "Hallucinogen" ;.At this time Raja Memory had been involved with an organization called the "Infinity Project" which Simon also worked on from time for you to time. In lots of ways the Infinity Project noise flat the way in which for what can later evolve into Shpongle. One day, while seeing a solar eclipse in India, both decided to see if they might capture the experience of what they'd only seen in to sound.

The result was the monitor "...And the Day Made In to Night" ;.Shpongle was born.  explain the sound of Shpongle is similar to trying to describe the 2bc Shpongle itself. Somewhat undefinable. The group identify their noise as an odd cross of electronic adjustment and shamanic midgets with frozen digits blending the envelope and creeping through the doors of perception. See what I am talking about? At its core the noise is full of swirling psychedelic levels of synthesizer tunes, bubbling dub like basslines, walls of delay, an ocean of consequences and products along with acoustic devices such as instruments and flutes.

The flute function of Raja Memory, a huge element of his early audio job in the UK Prog/Folk group Quintessence, features seriously on some of these more well known tunes. Shpongle has 4 business pictures produced to date. Their 1998 debut CD "Are you Shpongled?" was released in 1995 at the same time once the psychedelic ambient ( psychill ) type was still in its infancy and locating a market. "Have you been Shpongled?" was an instant attack and the mixture started touring their new psychedelic normal noise very nearly straight away, obtaining they were in much demand on the psychedelic trance and music event world worldwide.
