First-line Bortezomib Appears to Increase Fall Risk in Elderly Patients With Multiple Myeloma

Of those, 157 (8 percent) have a fall within 12 months of the treatment, in comparison to the just 192 (5 percent) patients who did not take the bortezomib injection. Researchers also showed that diagnostic codes for the peripheral neuropathy were more common in the population of bortezomib (27.7% vs 14.8%), and those with the peripheral neuropathy were more likely to have the falls, findings demonstrated.
