Federico Gutierrez, the ex-mayor of Medellin was elected as the center-right candidate. He received more than 1.7million votes.

( Fico Gutierrez and construction company). Fico Gutierrez stands up for his family and says it is important. He's married with two children.

As Councilman, he supported the mayoralty of Sergio Fajardo and later that of Alonso Salazar. He was able to reach the Mayor's Office of Medellin by 2015, which changed his goal. However, as with all the Hidroituango mayors, he was a victim of corruption. Daniel Coronell published a report about him, claiming that he had kept his money in tax-havens and was implicated in corruption.

In the month of October, 2021, the so-called Experience coalition was created that eventually became known as the Team for Colombia. Being Fico Gutierrez -right coalition, Federico Gutierrez won the candidacy and now has the support of characters such as Paola Holguin, a congressman from the Democratic Center, who in this 2022 ran again to obtain a new seat.

He also repeatedly said that his system of government was from public management for citizens and that politics is a vocation. Gustavo Petro was second in voting, so "Fico" (as his preferred name for himself) will represent Antioquia's right.
