Faucets go with Stainless Steel Sinks

Among various types of sinks, stainless steel sink is usually the most common type for kitchens. They are durable, affordable and practical. The stainless steel sink is indeed a good investment. However, a suitable faucet is essential for making the most of a good stainless steel sink’s value. Sink and faucet are inseparable partners that make your kitchen life convenient and efficient. Then what kind of faucet is good with the stainless steel sink?

Let’s get to this question from the three aspects of material, surface finish and color.
Stainless Steel Faucets
Sink faucets can be made of plastic materials and metallic materials such as stainless steel, brass, zinc alloy, and so on. Faucets made of different base materials may have different durability. And metallic materials of faucets are more common than plastic faucets. Among all sorts of faucets, stainless steel faucets are resistant to rust, lead-free, and very durable. Stainless steel sinks and stainless steel faucets are good match since they are made of the same materials.

Surface finishes of the faucet
The surface finish of a faucet plays an important role. It decides the look that a faucet takes on.

Metallic finishes vs. nonmetallic finishes
Metallic and non-metallic finishes are two categories of surface treatment. Metallic finishes include stainless-steel finishes, chrome finishes, nickel finishes, brass finishes, silver finishes, zinc finishes, etc. Metallic finishes are less likely to chip or scratch. Whereas nonmetallic finishes are more optional in color but they are more likely to chip or scratch. By comparison, metallic-finished faucets go better with stainless steel sinks.

Colors of the faucet
We have to admit that color weighs a lot on choosing a suitable faucet. Polished chrome, brushed nickel and matte black pairs well with stainless steel sinks and are also quite common in daily life.

Polished chrome
Polished chrome has a shiny look, which is a good look if you want to decorate the kitchen space in a contemporary style.

Brushed nickel
The silver color of brushed nickel finished faucets blend well with stainless steel sinks, turning the kitchen a traditional or transitional style.

Matte black
In recent days, matte colors are becoming trendy. Matte black creates contrast with stainless steel sinks in color.
