Material

The material used to make cutting tools is an essential role in the machining process. The proper tool material can affect productivity, tool consumption, processing cost, surface quality, and machining precision.

Wear resistance and toughness are equally important for efficient machining. Toughness refers to the capability of a pcd drill to resist friction and pressure without breaking or chipping.

The hardness of a cutting tool is determined by the temperature it is exposed during the process of machining. The harder the tool, the better cutting efficiency.

Geometry
