Adjectives form a significant part of speech. The main application of adjectives is to modify or describe the noun or pronoun used in English sentences. The adjectives are classified into different types that help an individual to construct grammatically correct sentences. In this article, different types of adjectives are discussed.

Attributive Adjectives: Attributive adjectives are the type of adjectives that comes directly next to the noun or pronoun that they modify. Personality adjectives can be referred to as the part of attributive adjectives. These include the words to describe a person. The attributive adjectives or personality adjective list includes the words such as beautiful, lazy, adventurous, polite, etc describing the character of an individual.
Distributive Adjectives: Distributive adjectives are the types of adjectives referring to different members of a group individually. Some examples of distributive adjectives include every, each, either, neither, etc. 
Interrogative Adjectives: Interrogative adjectives are the type of adjectives that are used to ask different types of questions. Some examples of interrogative adjectives are what, how, which, who, where, whose, etc.
Descriptive Adjectives: Descriptive adjectives are the type of adjectives that are used to describe the traits, qualities, and characteristics of both nouns and pronouns. A noun can be a person, thing, or place. It has been seen that most adjectives are descriptive adjectives and some examples of these are friendly, green, mesmerizing, attractive, etc. 
Participial Adjectives: Participial adjectives are the type of adjectives that are based on the participles. The term ‘participle’ here refers to the words that end in ‘ed’ or ‘ing’ form and are derived from the verbs. Some examples of these are impressed, cheered, fascinating, etc.
