Experts say sex robots are too dangerous, so do you still want them?

According to the Foundation for Responsible Robotics FRR, some foreign retirement institutions are considering introducing sex robots to meet the basic physical needs of bereaved elderly and heterosexual couples, a move opposed by many people, including psychologists. Imagine if a person is allowed to change the original racial prejudice by abusing and humiliating brown robots, would this be effective?

FRR has conducted a survey in which about two-thirds of the men surveyed approved of the use of sex robots, compared to 30% of the women. There are currently only four large manufacturers of simulated robot dolls (sex robots) worldwide, and while these companies do not reveal specific sales details and society does not give them much attention, it is a reality that they are shipping in significant numbers. These robots are priced from 4,000 euros to 12,000 euros (30,000-90,000 yuan) and can be customized for gender, height, skin color, iris color and even personality. A portion of the high-end dolls also follow the trend of using artificial intelligence technology that can respond to human emotions more naturally.

In South Korea, Japan and Spain, people have already started operating sex robot brothels, and last year, a new sex cafe opened in London, England. With the growing maturity of VR technology, many people are beginning to think about having a VR sex partner made of silicone, where the robot can not only show human gestures in the field of vision, but also speak, allowing the user to experience real feelings.

Recently, the sex robot manufacturer is negotiating with some elderly institutions, pointing out that the robot can not only serve as a fetish patients psychological comfort, but also in the future to relieve loneliness for the widowed elderly. But some experts have expressed dissatisfaction with this, saying that the popularity of sex robots is bound to bring serious moral and ethical problems, and that it is still unknown whether robots can help treat mental illness. In response, Noel Sharkey, emeritus professor of robotics and artificial intelligence at the University of Sheffield and one of the co-founders of FRR, said: It's time for the government and the public to regulate entertainment robots.

In a report, FRR identified four factors that make it inappropriate to introduce sex robots in elderly care facilities.

The potential for emotional trauma for special groups of older people, such as those with Alzheimer's disease (dementia), who simply cannot tell the difference between a robot and a person.

The possibility that older people may become addicted to robots and refuse to communicate with people, even leading to social isolation

the human is emotionally invested in the robots in a one-way way, and the robots, along with their responses, are fake, which can create a sense of loss in the elderly

Manufacturers program robots with emotions such as "shyness" and "reluctance," which can lead to feelings of guilt or darkness when people "force" robots to have sex with them. This is not alarming.

This is not alarming. Japanese sex robot maker Trottla has developed a line of products for pedophiles, most of which are portrayed as underage girls. Although the company's founder, Shin Takagi - a pedophile - claims he has never harmed a single child because the robots he built gave him satisfaction, it has sparked social panic and rejection.

Patrick Lin, a philosophy professor and robot ethicist at Caltech, angrily stated, "The use of child-shaped sex robots to cure pedophilia is a travesty in itself. Imagine if a person was allowed to change pre-existing racist prejudices by abusing and humiliating brown robots, would this work?" Today, there are also a growing number of experts who believe that, more than reducing the rate of rape and child abuse crimes, the popularity of sex robots will exacerbate social crime if regulations are not enacted in a timely manner. The moral and legal implications of sex robots are innumerable, but these two "bad trends" must be urgently addressed.

The portrayal of sex robots as minors.

Sexual violence against sex robots (which can be achieved by installing simple sensors and alarms on the robots, and many experts have suggested that "rape robots" be criminalized).

In this regard, FRR believes that it is not feasible to resist robots in the face of the trend of their popularity, but rather to define the "social tolerance" of robots, which requires the joint efforts of the government, academia, the scientific community and the public. Not long ago, the FRR put up a questionnaire on its website (which appears probabilistically) with a deadline of next year. By 2018, FRR will organize a total of global robotics associations to go to the International Court of Justice in The Hague to discuss robotics legislation, and the foundation's expert group hopes that a final resolution will emerge by then.

Now many people in order to meet their sexual needs will go to buy sex toys, the recent popularity of physical dolls is a lot of men and male welfare, some lustful women will choose a male love doll to meet their needs by having sex with him, of course, men are no exception, they will choose a female doll to solve their sexual needs.
