A recent expansion of Dublin airport's Terminal 2 is accompanied by a new whiskey shop. The new retail space boasts forty new shops, including a selection of some of Ireland's most celebrated whiskeys. During our visit, we sampled some of Ireland's top offerings, including Jameson Crested x Eight Degrees and Cooley Distillery's Greenore 19 Years Old. And, as you might expect, the whiskey selection was excellent!

Whiskey Collection at Dublin Airport will offer 125 different types of whiskey, with the goal of stimulating interest in Irish spirits and educating travellers about this category. The shop will be located in Terminal 2 and is expected to boost sales of Irish whiskey and other alcoholic beverages by up to 39% this year, compared to the same period last year. Moreover, the new whiskey shop will offer many exclusive brands and smaller independent distilleries that are not available anywhere else.

With an age of 19 years, Cooley Distillery Greenore is one of the oldest single grain whiskeys in the world. It was awarded the world's top prize at the 2010 World Whisky Awards. The Irish whiskey is matured in single bourbon casks for over nine years. Greenore is an extremely complex drink, with hints of vanilla and refined oak dryness. It also boasts a long, lingering finish.

While Greenore is a good single grain whiskey, it does have some complexity. It has an excellent flavor profile with plenty of sweetness and a surprising spiciness. This whiskey is well made, despite its age. Nevertheless, you must pay EUR30 for a bottle. To make the most of this offer, you must purchase at least two bottles of Cooley at Dublin Airport.

You can also buy Kilbeggan Single Grain from the shop located in the Kilbeggan distillery. The historic Kilbeggan premises, which was once a State-owned potato schnapps distillery, was bought by John Teeling in 1985 and converted to two column stills in less than two years. Cooley won a trophy at the 1998 International Wine and Spirit Competition. Kilbeggan Single Grain, which is also known as Greenore, is a single grain whiskey made entirely from corn and aged in Bourbon casks. The product is available in six, eight, fifteen, and 18-year versions.

You can try a Cooley Distillery's Greenore 19 Years Old at the Dublin airport whiskey shop. This Irish whiskey is made in Cooley near Dundalk and is an independent brand. John Teeling started Cooley Distillery to take on the monopoly of the Irish Distillers Group. While there are many Irish whiskey shops, Cooley's Greenore 19 Years Old has gained worldwide attention.
Temple Bar Distillery Store

If you're flying into Dublin, there's no better place to buy your whiskey than the Temple Bar Distillery Store at the airport. This whiskey specialist has glass cases lining the walls and even tobacco pipes. But what's more impressive is that the store is free and open to the public. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. And once you've finished shopping, you can take your souvenir home with you.

While the whiskey is brewed in Ireland, you can purchase a bottle or two at the airport's Temple Bar Distillery Store. The store offers a wide range of whiskeys, including a special Irish whiskey, which is crafted to celebrate the 175th anniversary of Temple Bar. A tasting flight will give you a chance to try each one before purchasing it. For whiskey lovers, a tasting flight is the perfect way to experience the full flavor of the whiskey.

The Temple Bar area is a vibrant and historic neighborhood with great food and drink. The airport offers two bus routes that stop in Temple Bar. One of these routes connects the south with the northside. If you are traveling in a group, taxi fares are affordable. If you don't want to walk, you can also ride an Aircoach bus to the city.
