A young hot-headed motorbike enthusiast inherits the prototype for an incredibly fast machine which was designed by his brother. He successfully gets the finance for it, and uses the bike to challenge for the world championship at Silverstone.
This film is purely a bike enthusiasts film which it lives up to dated now but i was in silver stone when some footage was shot which adds some memories for me,it was the Marlboro transatlantic trophy if i remember rightly around 1978 i was up in the stand then which then looked like something still under construction ,when a voice came over the Tanny to announce when the silver bike comes around everybody to wave and cheer this was for film footage i was to find out later n the day.It is a special film to me even today i still watch it and still i get hairs on back of my neck standing up .As i say this film i think is for bike enthusiasts who i feel without doubt they will enjoy and want to watch again like me .
I Have to admit I love this film, I seen it for the first time in my teenage years shortly after getting into bikes thanks to an ex girlfriend & her dad....which incidentally I think may be sarah594 who previously commented on this movie (the maths works out).

David Essex is totally underrated by the younger generation as a singer & actor but in this film you cant help but like him and the music sooths you and grips you in certain parts without you even realising it.

One interesting part I can confirm is real is when David Essex is pulling some wheelies outside the disco (old word for club) was actually him, he had a very keen interest in motorcycles and I imagine some of the younger folk wont believe it was possible in the olden days.

Great film great soundtrack a must see for some old school cheese....
