Why no Neil cuts on a Bridge School release - doesnt that sort of defeat the purpose?

Thrasher's Wheat Celebrates 20th Anniversary: 1996 - 2016.
The compilation includes live performances recorded throughout the years at Neil Young's annual Bridge School Benefit. All proceeds will be donated to the Bridge School, which helps children with severe physical disabilities and communications needs.

Hi people. Enjoying the comments. New to TW. I was at the last BBenefit, and something struck me that I thought I'd share: Neil has to think about succession planning. That is, although we fans love the music (and his in particular), the reason for the annual concert is not to promote NY, or any other act for that matter, but to support a school that, as Neil said this year, he wants to exist as long as there's a need. And unfortunately that need will long survive Neil. This is of course why the show this year featured a few "smaller" names, rather than the old fogeys we all know and love. gotta keep trying to grab audience. There will come a time when NY doesn't play the BB. Stay Forever Young.
I would buy these things if they were in physical format.
