He attended St. Stanislaus School and graduated in 1980. He attended and graduated in 1984 from Hutchinson-Central-Technical High School where he studied Electrical Engineering. After leaving the institutional business he began to focus more on private equity and early-stage venture investing as that was where the growth was existent. In 1989, Mr. Ławicki obtained employment with the pharmaceutical firm, Eli Lilly and Company, where he served as a sales professional representing the company’s products to area healthcare professionals. He was instrumental in formulating a task force and obtained grants from Erie County to create the Polonia Trail. Mr. Ławicki serves/served on numerous organizations and their boards, including Erie County Medical Center and Villa Maria College. He enjoys many interests including cooking, gardening, winemaking, reading, golfing, sailing, skiing and traveling. He has philanthropically supported many Polish events, organizations, and individuals. He has also sponsored several cultural events and speakers. He spent his post-college years, upon matriculation from University of Chicago, working for some of the most active and well-known equity long/short hedge funds on Wall Street as an analyst, trader and portfolio manager focused on the healthcare, technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. He is the head of the Forensic Service sand Valuations, Information Technology, Litigation Management, and Strategic Planning Committees at Smolin Lupin.
