Distant & Digital will teach you how to turn an idea into a unique product.

Distant & Digital, a global educational conference for experts in the domains of legal reform, intellectual property, creative industries, and the digital economy, will be held in Moscow's Digital Business Space on October 28 and 29, 2021. Executives from large and medium-sized companies will learn how to add value to intangible assets, while digitalization experts will learn how to choose the optimal protection model and creative entrepreneurs will learn how to form relationships with intellectual property suppliers.

"Create," "Manage," "Protect," and "LegalTech" are the four components of the agenda. The "Create" track includes workshops on the early stages of a variety of creative product "life cycles." Several types of intellectual and legal protection, their selection criteria, the chronology, and the algorithms necessary to achieve and retain action rights will be given specific attention.

The track will begin with the session "Intellectual Rights as the Life Juices of Creative Industries." Attorneys and artists will discuss the present status of the digital art market, the future of tokenization of creative products, and how traditional cultural institutions fit into new trends during the session "NFT: HYIP or New Economy?" The master session "Legal Difficulties of Creative Territorial Appropriation (Street Art, Public Art, Actionism)" will also look at how "free" art movements are regulated legally.

Over 50 talks and master workshops will be held throughout the conference. More than 200 leading Russian and international experts in intellectual property and legal technology will attend, analyzing real-world issues and circumstances in legal practice and commercial operations and aiding in their resolution.

Elena Avakyan is a Counselor with Yegorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners, which also employs Ruslan Gatsalov, the creator of the ArtLaw Creative Industry Legal Defense Center. Dimiter Ganchev, Deputy Director of the Copyright Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization's Department of Copyright and Creative Industries Valeria Grigorieva is the director of "Eksmo," a digital content publishing company, and the court representative for "Soyuzmultfilm," a film studio. Anton Struzhkov, vice-president for legal issues of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, and Konstantin Markov, curator of the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkina is a member of ICOM Russia's Presidium and the Chairman of the Council for Museum Digital Development. Vladimir Definedov is a Russian artist, lawyer, and vice president of the Federation of Creative Industries. Among those in attendance were Veronika Ponomareva-Korzhevskaya, an art critic and lawyer, Yulia Osadchaya, the founder of the ARTA company, and others.

Distant & Digital 2021 will be co-organized by the IPChain Association and the global communication brand IPQuorum. Among the co-organizers are the Federation of Intellectual Property and the Scientific and Educational Center for Intellectual Property and Digital Economy Digital IP.
