Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke to present at the Golden Globes - Same with stage actor Cory Michael Smith. I feel like Game of Thrones has a broad range of strong women — and we keep seeing them getting stronger and stronger.

Being the polite Brit that he is, when I walked into 's hotel suite at the Four Seasons Los Angeles, he got up to greet me with a handshake. This was our fourth or fifth time meeting, and we're so past the formalities. The smolderingly good-looking star blushed and flashed a big smile. And with that, the two of us sat down to talk about his new role in the animated DreamWorks feature, How to Train Your Dragon 2 which is super cute, by the way , his GOT costars, and why he might date everyone on Twitter. Glamour: You seem to have an affinity for movies or series with dragons in them. Kit Harington: Yeah, maybe! I think I've got my quota of dragons and mythical stories now between this, Thrones, and various other projects I've done. I'm leaning towards ignoring movies that have something to do with the mystical now. Glamour: Or, as Craig Ferguson said in a press conference earlier, you could always get a cat and do a feline movie. Kit: Yeah, I should. They haven't made a good cat movie in a while. I've always hated my voice. You sound different in your head when you hear it out loud. I fall under the category of cringing when I hear my voice, but oddly enough, having seen this movie now, everything they've done with my body and all the physical stuff has made my voice sound better! I think it's my fault with the physical stuff then. Glamour: At what point did you see the rendering of Eret, Son of Eret, and what you were going to look like? Kit: It was rather late on, actually. The first picture of him I saw right at the start was slightly changed from the final version. They based it slightly on me, and then he became less like me and more like a bigger chap. Because Eret's a big guy—he's a brute! Having your voice put to one of these incredibly lifelike animations was incredibly intriguing and quite an experience. One of the most amazing experiences I've had. Glamour: What'd you think of the final version? Kit: I wish I looked like that! I like the big, muscle-y, warrior type—he's cool! I like his big jaw and his tattoos because it's nothing like me. I don't have any tattoos. There's nothing I love enough in the world to have a tattoo. If I did, it would probably be something simple, but it's not for me. FYI, in case you didn't see the first film, the character on the left is not Eret; that's Hiccup. Glamour: Kristen Wiig's character in this movie has a crush on yours. Have you met her yet? Kit: Yeah, that's definitely based on real life. She has a crush on me. We've actually never met, but I'll meet her next week when we do a talk show together. I've always loved her though. Glamour: I imagine her being in character when she meets you and fawning all over you like most girls would. Kit: If she does, that would completely throw me! I hope she doesn't, because it would totally throw me! By the way, that also might include Glamour editor Lindy Segal, just so you know. It bamboozles me, really. I never see myself as that, but yes to everyone on Twitter. I'll get around to it. On a totally unrelated note, it wasn't until you were 11 years old that you discovered your first name is really Christopher, not Kit. Why didn't your parents tell you? Kit: I haven't got a clue! I think they could see that I wanted to be Kit, but Christopher was a bit of a tradition. My brother's name is Jack, but his real name is John. Kit is traditionally an offshoot of Christopher, it's just not used that often. My middle name is Catesby. Glamour: You can't make up a better name than that. Kit: It's cool, isn't it? It's also my brother's middle name. Jake Catesby and Kit Catesby. It's my mom's maiden name, actually. Glamour: Did you ever think of going by Kit Catesby professionally? Kit: I nearly did, but I thought it sounded too much like a 1950s talk-show host. I was close, actually! Sometimes I think, That would have been a cool name, but Kit Harington works. Glamour: Let's talk Game of Thrones. Are you still close to Richard Madden now that he's left the show? Kit: He's here now actually! I'm seeing him tonight. I saw him last night, I saw him the night before, and I'm seeing him tonight! So, yes to that! I actually really do hang out with him. I see Emilia Clarke from time to time. We're all pretty close. That's what I've always loved about Thrones. There's no poisonous characters, and everyone is still very down to earth after five seasons, which is pretty cool since it's gotten as big as it has. It's pretty special I think. Glamour: What's harder: braving the harsh conditions on set or keeping the plot a secret? Kit: Secrets of plotlines! They're both pretty hard! The other day I said something, but I can't say it again! Half of me is really, really nervous about the finale because it's quite eccentric these last two episodes and the whole season, which has been a brilliant season, but there's a whole load coming up. I'm terrified we'll ruin the season, but I don't think we will. I think they are quite special episodes, really. Glamour: On a completely random note, do you style your hair, or is just amazingly curly like this? Kit: I actually don't do much to my hair. It gets fussed over a lot on projects because there's a lot of it and it's boy's hair, but as far as me, I tend to let it do what it wants. Glamour: My hair dryer broke today and now it's out of control. Like Monica on Friends when they went to Barbados. Kit: It looks cool! You bring out the '60s. I think you should style it like that! Glamour: See, how I can argue with that? Glamour: Last question: I'm heading to London later this month for the first time ever. What would Kit Harington, travel agent extraordinaire, suggest? Kit: That is brilliant! That's down by London Bridge Station, and it's one of the most amazing markets in the world. Another one recently is. Those are the two really good markets. You gotta do the South Bank. Walk down in summer. You can go to the and see a play there. Go to all the galleries: , , and. We have some of the best art museums in the world. Go shopping with Kate and Will. Just get out of the center and buy a Time Out London and look at some of the bets that aren't the tourist traps in the middle. For more with Kit, check out our hilarious interview when we met up with him at the SAG Awards earlier this year.
