It's not half as bad as some reviews might say. And for the current price as of now (3,99) you can't do wrong. It's a nice board game (had a lot worse) and it's also funny.. I liked the game but it seems to have been abandoned.. It may be early access but this game is pretty awesome. The graphics are beautiful. This is not a roll the dice and go game, it involves strategy, but even that is fun given all the puns and references to things past in the game. It does have some stuttering and fatal error issues even on the PC. Playing through the board, at round 11 it froze (25 secs), and while it did not stay frozen it never got back to where it had been in speed and response. Then it simply quit with a fatal error.. Update: Okay so we got more content stuff now against all odds the "cutesy" art is actually growing on me ONLY because it is used to highlight the parody heavy theme presnet in this EA access title. Not a thumbs up at this point however b/c when it comes to strategic gameplay there's not really alot too it unfortuantely.BUT there have been some changes and the developer's seem willing to listen to feedback and adjust even the core gameplay (assuming I am understanding the updates they give correctly) mechanic may improve or develop in some way not yet apparent. At the moment this game comes off as couple of new shoes on the much played, loved, hated, and all time classic boardgame, Monopoly. Primarily it's a game of chance though some strategic application will improve your odds. As such I will primiraly being making comparision contrasts to help review this concept. One of my complaints is that in tweaking the Monopoly formula Dicetiny replaces purchasing property tiles with placing minions that can be defeated/removed/stolen and the result is a bit underwhelming. It removes the decisions between keeping resources or spending them in hopes of at least a small future or short term benefit but with the possibly of a huge payoff in the long run feel. That very decisions is what makes Monoploy somewhat interesting. I say somewhat interseting concept because while the decisions set in front of you will change based on the dice roll/RNG/Random element of a particular game of Monopoly the overall strategy of each game is essentially the same (focusing on purchasing properties in a few key areas and not in others). I believe this is a result of having a fixed "permenant" gameboard that the elements are subject to is partially (maybe entirely?) to blame here and Dicetiny forgoes that particular dilema with the ability to randomize the board to and the last half of each game tends to be a long jog to an inevitable conclusion. So in short form for this Monopoly variation the non-permenancy (totally a word I'm sure) spin on purchasing obstacles (properites in Monopoly and Units or Minions in Dicetiny) seems to accomplish the task of making the game less vanilla. Unfortunately it also waters down the spend/invest decision that makes Monopoly anything more than a game of pure chance. It's an intersting problem to face and I will be intersted to see what this group comes up with. Stay Tuned. Good Start!.but its basically a demo at the moment sooooooooo.hold off on purchase until they add some of that content stuff. At the moment you can play 4 scenarios on one difficulty setting and choose between four decks with some very light customization options to mix up the cards. NO LONGER CRASHING ON STARTUP per update.. This game has a had a rocky start, but now it's thankfully back on Steam. It is a combination of board game with CCG (collectible card game) with excellent art that looks intentionally goofy. You use spells and minions summon to cause damage to enemy heroes as you move along the board using dice, that's pretty much it. The game is filled with references to pop culture, anime, internet memes and such things, and it doesn't take itself too seriously, but as lighthearted as the game is, it's probably a good thing (although internet humor is pretty much a topic with an expiration date slapped to it from day one). I really like this game a lot and I want to finish it, but it's been crashing constantly for me ever since I reached what I assume is more or less the mid point of the story. Still, I'm giving it a positive despite these issues, in hopes the developers will address them.. I have had this on my Wish List since forever. I added the game when it was in Early Access, and then some major studio / money troubles caused production to shut down and go completely dark for a couple of years. Normally I delete games that seem abandoned, but the little I could see of the game from its marketing materials led me to hope that someday, somehow, it would be completed. And I certainly was surprised to see it pop up on sale in this year's Summer Sale. I'm glad I waited. The game is mechanically solid and great fun. The art style and sound effects are top-notch. It has multiple playable classes and a campaign mode. The only thing I dislike is all the meme and reference jokes; this type of humor is difficult to do successfully and I think the game actually would have done much better with some effort made to give it its own fiction. It also has a fair number of typos and grammatically incorrect English, but this is something that can be fixed with professional native-English copyediting. The game is a bargain at its $5 asking price. Highly recommended.. Game is fun but it crashes way too often. My most recent achievement is "No hard feelings. It's all business." XD I'm not mad the dev did a runner, the game has a full single player campain and I paid very little for it. Plus its kinda fun.. Buy this today, downloaded on my home pc, go to work, downloaded on my studio (office) and. ENJOY 2 hours or so for the POLISHED EARLY ACCESS GAME EVER procrasination for my responsibility at work! MUAHAHAHAHA. Oh, I'm such a bad girl. XD Anyway, looking forward to MOAR UPDATES! If you love digital tabletop games like this or ARMELLO, consider buy this on EARLY ACCESS! It's being polished. Can't wait for the FULL VERSION OF IT!!! Lots of PARODY as well, a fun to read here and there BUT to developer, I have some notes on artistic side: 1. The typeface, it's too fast to read when they (the heroes and villains) 'chat' before battle. 2. The character animation too fast as well. I know it's a 'static' animation for each one of them, but consider to make it more fun to be seen. Thank you and have a nice day! Love, Sherly.. nice game !! so good!!
