Olivia wants revenge against Jonas, while Jack, Chloe, Janis, and Renee try to locate a young Arab who is being set up to take the fall for a new terrorist attack.
4:00 a.m.-5:00 a.m.

A young Arab is set up and used by a group of terrorists, including Tony. Jack, Janis and Chloe race to save him and prevent him from his mission. Meanwhile the president's daughter Olivia is seeking to end her vendetta with Jonas once and for all.

The suspense really helped fuel this episode, especially the conflictions between the characters. Tony again proves to be one of television's finest villains showing intelligence and intensity towards the people around him proving once again to be quite a force.

The acting was off the roof on this one, and the pacing was quite splendid.

Only complaint was that things went a bit in your face at times. But I'm fine with that.

Another great hour for Bauer.

7/10. Jibraan, Tony's scapegoat, is coerced into helping Tony with the terrorist attack and take the blame for it after his younger brother Hamid, is threatened. Meanwhile, Chloe gets emotional when she learns of Jack's condition. Chloe helps the FBI using the CTU servers and manages to link a money trail to Jibraan, but is unable to find a valid address, yielding only the location of his mosque. Jack and Renee travel there to "question" the Imam, Muhtadi Gohar; when he refuses to yield information, they take him hostage. Olivia arranges through a contact to have Jonas Hodges assassinated, but has a change of conscience and cancels both the transfer of funds and the operation. At the hospital, a guard comes to take Hodges away for witness protection. The guard then escorts him to the transport car, that was rigged to blow, killing Hodges in a fiery explosion. Jack and Renee discover where Jibraan lives through local police who recognized him and head over to his address; Chloe further discovers that Jibraan has been framed, and Jack expresses regret for his haste, winning Gohar's respect. Jack leads a team to raid Jibraan's house and free Hamid, but they are too late: Tony and his team have already left with Jibraan, and their one remaining henchman is wounded by Hamid during the raid. By this point, Tony and his team are in the final stages of preparing their attack — on the Washington Metro.

In summary,here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Kim Bauer was at the FBI around 1:00 a.m. talking to Jack in private about the small chance of him being treated with some of her stem cells since she is the closest family member. Jack tells her he'd rather die than take that risk. He doesn't want to have her go through the pain.

2.Olivia Taylor is expressing her anger on Hodges being released to Martin Collier. She's ready to transfer the funds to the killer, but she can't do through with it. Jonas Hodges gets in the van which then explodes.

3.Tony Almeida says to Jibraan Al-Zarian that if he doesn't want his brother dead he will do what they say. In order to protect his brother Hamid, Jibraan says he's working with Tony and his crew.

4.Jack Bauer and Renee Walker go to Gohar's residence. Renee and Jack start asking him where Jibraan is. He denies knowing anything at first, but Jack gets in his face and says he isn't going to debate this with him. Gohar says he knows how far Bauer is willing to go. They are in a vehicle heading to the home when Chloe calls Jack and tells him that the latest transfer of money doesn't match with Al-Zarian's bank records. Jack figures he is being set up by Tony. They arrive and assault the house. During the raid, Hamid stabs an associate with a shard of glass. Jack tells him to back off as they need him alive. Jack works to keep him alive.

The events in Day 7 slows down when I expected the level of suspense to increase after Jack and Renee was suppose to go after Tony.But unfortunately,the writers decided to let them go after Jibraan,the man Tony is planning to set up.Also,the development of the other villain,Jonas Hodges,who is currently in the FBI is being sent to the witness protection program.And Olivia Taylor,the daughter of the President intends to eliminate him.Then Kim Bauer enters the picture in the plot.Instead of focusing on the Jack and Renee pursuing Tony,other subplots are inserted which somewhat slows down the events in 24.
