Daniel Merin, Born December 30, 1987 is an American jeweler, entrepreneur and co-founder, and president of Daniel of Fifth Avenue, alongside Michael Caseau, co-founder and design director. Daniel came from a humble New York upbringing. As Daniel’s father exited the Israeli army during the 1970’s, he went on to work as a diamond cutter for Kaplan alongside his father, ultimately bringing the family trade back to New York City in the fall of 1981.
