Purpose of the course
Provide you with the skills to implement packet telephony in converged networks. The course describes the basics of the QoS technology required to ensure adequate quality of voice traffic. The course is part of the CISCO Voice Specialization line of courses and provides the skills required to deploy VoIP networks.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:
Understand the principles, components and mechanisms of operation of voice gateways
Understand and customize VoIP call arms
Implement Cisco Unified Communication Manager Express
Build and adapt a numbering plan
Configure Gatekeepers and the Cisco Unified Border Element
Implement quality of service mechanisms
Necessary preparation
Students in this advanced course must have experience configuring Cisco IOS devices and must meet the following prerequisites:
Knowledge of the basics of computer networks
Have a CCNA certification or equivalent experience in configuring routing and switching
Basic knowledge of traditional telephony and converged networks
